Pengaruh Game Based Learning terhadap Motivasi, Keterlibatan, dan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Materi Kimia

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh game based learning menggunakan platform Blooket terhadap motivasi, keterlibatan, dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi kimia perubahan iklim di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Kota Sukabumi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group, melibatkan kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan Blooket dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar dan tes hasil belajar (pretest dan posttest) telah diuji validasi dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan game based learning menggunakan Blooket memberikan pengaruh sangat signifikan terhadap motivasi dan keterlibatan belajar siswa dengan persentase capaian motivasi 88% dan keterlibatan 84%, serta nilai signifikansi p < 0,001. Effect size motivasi sebesar 0,88 dan keterlibatan 0,89 mengindikasikan pengaruh yang sangat besar secara statistik. Selain itu, hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan rata-rata dari pretest 58 menjadi posttest 88, sedangkan kelas kontrol meningkat dari 60 menjadi 84. Pengaruh pembelajaran ini juga didukung oleh nilai Cohen’s d sebesar 0,601 atau 73%. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa integrasi game based learning menggunakan Blooket berpengaruh secara signifikansi.
